Maitland’s online instructions give two different answers about the drawings to submit after a permit has been issued. One section calls for changed sheets; another calls for a complete plan set. Confirm the package with the City before relying on either instruction alone.
The distinction matters because an applicant replying to review comments before issuance has a different task from someone changing an already issued permit. LSL’s earlier general status ledger did not expose that difference or the conflicting file instructions.
Before issuance: respond to the comments with the revised set
The Online Submittal Process calls for a complete revised set in one PDF before issuance, even when only a few sheets changed. It also calls for marked revisions and a response narrative.
The working Response to Comments Form asks applicants to identify the permit, site and contractor/contact, then list changed documents and explain the response. LSL suggests checking that each comment response points to the actual revised document. A statement that an item is fixed is less useful to a reviewer if its location cannot be found.
After issuance: the two City pages disagree
| City instruction | What it says about the package |
|---|---|
| Permitting Process Overview, issued-plan revisions | Submit the revised sheets with the Revision Form. |
| Permitting Information, drawing/plan-set naming section | Initial and revision submissions use a complete single PDF; individual sheets are not accepted. |
The second instruction is on the current Permitting Information page. Neither page explains how to reconcile it with the overview’s post-issuance wording. A disclaimer cannot turn that into one verified universal rule.
The separate Revision Form requests an explanation of the change and a list of revised documents. Its examples do not settle whether the uploaded drawing package must contain only changed sheets or the whole set. Filling in that form is not itself approval of the design change.
Ask a question the permit specialist can resolve
LSL’s suggested inquiry is:
My permit [number] is already issued. The overview says to upload revised sheets with the Revision Form, but the naming page says revisions need a complete single-PDF set. For [brief scope of change], which drawing package should I submit, and what filename should identify the replacement?
Use 407-539-6150 or digitalplan@maitlandfl.gov, the contacts shown on the City’s pages. Include the two section names so the response addresses the conflict rather than merely repeating a general link. Keep that answer with the package it concerns. LSL has not obtained a City answer for this article.
The overview describes same-filename versioning. Separately, LSL recommends keeping a local copy of the exact submission and its receipt so a later edit cannot erase what was sent. This is a recordkeeping suggestion, not a new City naming convention.
If an invoice is the next question, use the separate Maitland fee-component comparison. It does not establish revision approval or a complete project charge.
LSL read both full City pages and both complete one-page forms on September 12, 2026. This article compares public instructions; it does not report a tested account, accepted upload, legal code review or private permit result. A follow-up source check is due September 19 because the conflicting instructions remain unresolved.
