Temple Terrace’s Wednesday yard collection is not the same service as its annual bulk pickup. Construction debris needs separate arrangements, and paying for special pickup does not make household hazardous waste acceptable.
For City residential customers, split the cleanup by material before putting it out:

The City residential instructions, special-pickup rules and County arrangement support different rows. They are not interchangeable dumping permissions.
Prepare Wednesday yard waste
For clippings and leaves, use reusable containers no larger than 30 gallons, with no more than 50 pounds per container. Do not use recycling bins or include fruit or food waste.
For limbs and branches, the City says “less than 4 feet in length and 6 inches in diameter.” Its preparation options are bundling/neatly stacking, bagging or using a yard-waste container. That makes painted renovation lumber a different question from clean yard branches. Do not hide it inside a yard pile or ordinary trash bin.
Annual bulk pickup is not an unlimited cleanup
The City describes one annual bulk pickup for most residents with active utility accounts. Put household items and yard debris in separate piles, within 10 feet of the curb, but not in the street, beneath wires or under low limbs.
The free annual service excludes construction/demolition debris, tires, household hazardous waste and trees larger than 10 inches DBH—the tree’s diameter at breast height. Arrange paid pickup with Public Works
Call 813-506-6570. The City’s published instruction is to call after setout; requests are served in request order, not on a promised appointment date. Resolve uncertain material or account eligibility before creating a pile.
The rates posted when checked September 13 are:
- Clean yard debris: $101.43 per 15 minutes.
- Miscellaneous Class III and construction/demolition material: $111.57 per 15 minutes.

Keep the County trip separate
Household hazardous waste uses designated County events; household paint and electronics use the County’s collection-center route. The City-resident disposal page lists schedules and locations and requires a valid driver’s license as residency proof for this no-additional-charge service.
