Minneola’s downloadable tree-removal application gives a clear ordinary application-fee cap and a clear 30-day approval clock. It does not supply the replacement instructions it refers to: the downloaded PDF contains one page, but its replacement field says to see page two.
Check the application charge without treating it as a removal quote
The official form lists cash or check payment of $10 per tree, capped at $50. LSL reproduces that arithmetic below for the ordinary application row:

This is not a contractor’s price or a guarantee of the City’s final charge. The form separately lists a $250-per-tree amount for removal without a permit; that row is not included in the ordinary calculation.
The published application is also not a complete statement of exemptions. Florida section 163.045 limits local permit and fee requirements where the defined residential property and signed onsite professional risk-assessment conditions are met. LSL has not determined those conditions for any tree or parcel.
Start the clock at approval—not submission
The PDF states that the permit is valid for 30 days from the approval date and provides an expiration field. Its inspection, approval and expiry fields are separate from the applicant’s proposed removal date. Use the dates entered on the actual approval; submitting a form does not start an approved removal period.
The filing checklist requests the application, a Lake County property record card and a survey locating the proposed removals. LSL suggests matching tree labels on the survey to the requested count so the fee example and the proposed work concern the same trees.
Resolve the missing replacement attachment
The form says a City inspection considers the trees being removed and the canopy and understory trees present to determine whether replacement is required. Its yes/no replacement field then refers to a second page that was absent from the one-page file downloaded on September 20, 2026.
Before relying on replacement instructions, ask the Zoning Department at 352-394-3598 for the complete applicable conditions and deadline. Keep that response with the approval. This review does not infer a replacement count or deadline from the missing attachment.
