For Clermont yard waste, who produced the debris comes before its measurements. The City will not collect debris left by a hired landscaper or tree service. Cutting that material into smaller pieces does not turn it into ordinary resident-generated yard waste. Tree-removal debris also remains the owner or tree service’s responsibility. Measure the ordinary setout
Keep the useful photo check from the earlier guide, but compare each measurement with the right rule:

Ask about the conflicting weight wording
The Garbage and Recycling page describes a pickup limit of 50 pounds or 12 plastic bags. Sanitation and its linked disposal sheet instead apply 50 pounds to each bag. The earlier article did not identify that distinction or the 12-bag statement. Garbage and Recycling · Disposal sheet
Before a larger setout, tell Sanitation the number of bags and approximate individual and total weights. Ask which collection limit applies. Twelve bags should not be presented as unconditional permission for twelve 50-pound bags. The disposal sheet lists 352-241-0178 for questions.
Put the material where the separate truck can reach it
The Garbage and Recycling page says yard waste belongs on the opposite side of the driveway from the City garbage cart, at the curb before 7 a.m. on collection day. Keep it clear of low branches, wires and other obstructions. Placement instructions
The June 2023 disposal sheet says a different truck collects yard trash on the normal trash day. A garbage cart being emptied does not by itself show that the yard-waste truck rejected a pile. Collection arrangement
If material remains, describe its origin, dimensions and placement when asking about follow-up. For removal permitting rather than collection, use the separate Clermont tree-permit guide; a sanitation webpage is not a complete ruling on tree-removal authority.
LSL checked both webpages and the complete native disposal sheet on September 20, 2026. We preserved the measurement method while adding the omitted quantity wording and source conflict. No setout or collection was observed.
