Middleburg Heights’ Indian Creek sewer project has two published completion expectations and several different financial measures. The City’s project page points to October 2027, while its linked presentation shows September 2027. Neither is a completion certificate.
What is dated, and what is only scheduled?
LSL aligned the signed Phase 1 resolution, project update and linked public presentation:

The April 17 date in the original resolution webpage’s URL is therefore not the Council adoption date. The presentation filename identifies June 29, 2026; we have not independently confirmed when it was delivered.
The differing September/October endpoints deserve a question to the City, not an invented explanation for a delay. This comparison does not establish the percentage complete today.
Do not add the appropriation to the contract amount
These figures answer different questions:

LSL reproduced the funding sum: $7,143,000 + $3,576,080 = $10,719,080. The presentation budget exceeds the authorized bid by $435,000. The reviewed records do not allocate that difference, so it should not be labeled contingency, an overrun or extra contractor payment.
The presentation also identifies a $2 million grant application. An application is not an award; do not subtract it from the City’s stated share as though funding had arrived. Authorization and a planning budget likewise do not establish final expenditure.
Check the work affecting your frontage
The City describes trenching, boring, sewer installation and restoration of pavement, concrete aprons and trees. It plans one-way eastbound traffic on Indian Creek between Baldwin Creek and Gerald during portions of construction—not necessarily on every day within the project window.
Before arranging deliveries or driveway access, check the current project page and ask the City’s project contact about the specific address and date. A useful request identifies the frontage, planned access need and whether the question concerns excavation, temporary access or final restoration. The general timetable cannot answer those separately.
Reporting scope
This September 20, 2026 review read the operative project update, both pages of the signed resolution and text from all nine presentation pages. The project page displays an August 29 update; viewing it today does not turn every July forecast into a newly verified milestone.
LSL created the date comparison and reproduced the arithmetic. We did not inspect construction, verify a current traffic arrangement, review a signed construction contract or final payment, or map impacts to individual addresses.
