Tallmadge includes bulk collection with both its unlimited and low-volume residential services, but you must contact Rumpke before your regular service day to arrange it. The City lists 1-800-828-8171. Included collection does not mean every item can be left out unprepared. Residential service instructions.
Prepare the item you actually have

These instructions come from the service page, not the general FAQ. The wording differs between boards/fencing/carpet (under four feet) and trimmings (four-foot lengths); do not apply the more permissive phrase to every bundle.
The appliance instruction is a professional-service requirement, not a suggestion to release refrigerant yourself. Ask the service provider what documentation or tag will accompany the appliance.
Make the scheduling call specific
Have an item list ready before calling Rumpke. An optional LSL prompt is:
I have [items and quantities] at [service address]. My regular pickup day is [day]. I will prepare them as [wrapping, bundles or appliance tag]. Please confirm the collection date, placement and any item-specific requirements.
Ask before setting out something outside the listed categories. The City’s inclusion statement is not evidence that an unusual quantity or material will be accepted. If an item is left behind, describe its actual preparation and ask what must change before arranging another collection.
The current City FAQ points residents to the sanitation page’s address map for pickup day. We did not enter an address or book a pickup; confirm your own service day and any holiday change when arranging collection.
There is no City brush drop-off to substitute for pickup
The current FAQ says Tallmadge does not accept brush, tree limbs or other debris at a City drop-off and directs residents to ask Rumpke about yard-waste service. Do not leave material at a City facility because it fits the curbside preparation list. Brush-drop-off answer.
LSL checked the service page and the relevant live FAQ answers on September 13, 2026. Both name Rumpke; an older search-cache copy naming another hauler was not used as current guidance. Rumpke is identified as the City’s contracted provider, not as an LSL recommendation, sponsor or contributor.
