Plan the photographs before the next layer hides the work
The City’s checklist names sheathing fastening, underlayment, flashing, vents, starter material and shingles, with some items conditional on the assembly. It also asks for a measuring reference and a visible permit number or address in each photograph. Discuss the applicable photographs with the roofer before work begins; homeowners should not climb onto the roof to obtain them.
LSL’s photo index adds three useful questions to each applicable checklist item:

For example, an image labeled only “roof 12” is harder to reconcile than one indexed as the identified roof area’s underlayment attachment detail. That is an organizational example, not a City-prescribed filename or proof that the fastening is compliant.
Keep the declaration separate from the image index
The affidavit identifies the permit, address, structure and reroof type. Match those entries to the actual project; do not reuse a declaration or photograph set from another address. A photograph can be missing, unreadable or show the wrong area. If an applicable detail was concealed before it was documented, ask the roofer and Building Services how to resolve that gap. Do not stage a replacement image, imply that another project’s photograph is this roof, or assume the missing view will be waived.
Retrieve the actual final result
The image index helps organize the submission; it does not pass the inspection. Clermont’s Building Services page distinguishes inspections from final acceptance and the appropriate completion or occupancy certificate.
