If you want your gasoline can back after a Seminole County HHW Tunnel drop-off, plan around the 10 a.m.–2 p.m., Monday–Saturday return window. The County’s June 12, 2026 notice says gasoline can be accepted outside that window, but the container will not be returned. It also assigns automotive-fluid pouring to technicians, effective June 1. Use the current list, not the old curbside page
The current Hazardous and Special Waste page lists gasoline at up to five gallons and used motor oil at up to 20 gallons. It also names antifreeze, but does not state an antifreeze quantity there. The former ten-gallon gasoline, 20-gallon antifreeze and five-filter table is not supported by the current cited pages and has been removed. An omitted limit is not unlimited acceptance. Keep substances and quantities separate when asking about a load. Do not add the gasoline and motor-oil limits into a combined allowance, and ask staff about filters or any material without a clear current listing.

The can-return rule belongs to the HHW Tunnel
The tunnel is at the Central Transfer Station, 1950 State Road 419, Longwood. The County separately lists its landfill as accepting automotive fluids and tires; do not assume the tunnel’s technician and can-return procedure applies at that other destination. If you can surrender the container, ask whether the planned drop-off time and material are acceptable.
