Sanford’s $25.13 monthly residential solid-waste charge took effect July 1, 2026. It does not turn the City’s separate spring cleanup announcement into a recurring bulk-pickup schedule. What the four zones actually referred to
These are the past spring 2026 cleanup dates, retained here to explain why an old notice must not be used for a new setout:

The event notice calls for material out before 7 a.m. and lists a 20-cubic-yard limit, two-person-manageable material, 50-pound weight and five-foot length/five-inch diameter limits. It excludes construction and hazardous materials and directs appliance and tire questions to the City; its tire listing is eight maximum. Before a new bulky-item setout
Ask the City about the actual item, amount and address: “Is this regular collection, an appointment or a currently announced cleanup event? Which date and limits apply?” If someone supplies the April four-zone list, ask for the notice covering the proposed pickup date.
This is LSL’s check against using an expired event as a service entitlement. The collection page contains notices from several years; a live webpage is not proof that every date on it is upcoming.
Why this guide changed
The previous version treated the spring event’s zones and limits as general bulk guidance. LSL compared the complete relevant rate, routine-service and cleanup sections on September 20, 2026 and corrected that scope. No current appointment, private bill or household pickup was verified.
