Cuyahoga County’s 2026 sewer permit fee is $315, but that is not the price of a sewer connection project. Separate the quote into the right units
The published schedule and Section 705.06 agree on these rates effective January 1, 2026:

For illustration, one $315 permit plus one $560 inspection day equals $875. That is LSL’s arithmetic, not a County quote. It excludes construction, connection charges and any other applicable work. Ask the coordinator which categories apply before using this subtotal in a budget; the published sheet does not resolve every combination of daily and overtime charges.
The same schedule lists $210 for a mainline inspection no-show, $630 for starting without the County sewer permit, and $1,120 for starting without a scheduled County inspector. These are noncompliance charges, not alternative ways to arrange the work. Published additional fees
Confirm who issues the permit before paying
The County’s service-agreement matrix distinguishes plan review, construction inspection, permits, tap-in fees and ownership. A municipality appearing in that matrix does not mean the County performs every function there. Its legend also says a blank cell means the agreement is silent—not that no permit is required. Ask: “For this address and this sewer work, who reviews the plan, who issues the service-connection permit, and who schedules the inspection?” The County expressly says its approvals do not replace local permits or utility-company approvals.
Do not carry the 2026 amount forward automatically
The enacted ordinance sets the January 2026 rates and separately permits limited discretionary increases starting January 1, 2027. It does not itself provide a future 2027 dollar schedule. Check the department’s posted rate sheet for work crossing that date. Ordinance O2025-0008
