Keep Doylestown brush and leaves in separate piles, and confirm the current neighborhood schedule before setting them out. The Village’s sources disagree about the beginning of brush season and the end of leaf season; an old seasonal summary is not a collection appointment.
This service is for addresses inside the Village, not simply addresses using “Doylestown” in their mailing address. The July 2026 handbook expressly distinguishes Village residents from the surrounding township. Citizen handbook
Two materials, two preparation decisions
The Village’s August 2023 removal guidelines, still linked from its service page, explain why mixed piles fail: the leaf vacuum and brush chipper handle different material.

The guidelines allocate 15 minutes of handling per household, not an unlimited pile or a fixed cubic-yard allowance. They direct residents with more material to commercial handling. LSL has not measured how much a crew can process in that period; do not convert it into an invented branch count or load size.

The service page’s linked leaf schedule was labeled 2025 when checked. We did not establish a 2026 neighborhood calendar from that link. The handbook describes neighborhood date ranges, so a Village-wide seasonal statement is not enough to choose your setout day.
Avoid missing the one pass
For a confirmed brush pickup, have material out before 8 a.m. on the scheduled second Monday. The department says a route can take more than one day and weather can delay it, but crews make one pass through each neighborhood. Ask the Street Department at 330-658-2181, extension 1160 for the current neighborhood dates and any changed instructions. Give the material type and Village address; specifically ask about January brush or late-season leaves when the sources disagree. Do not put material in the road while waiting for clarification.

On September 20, 2026, LSL read the service webpage, visually checked the complete one-page removal guidelines and read the relevant first two pages of the current handbook. We compared their dates and built the preparation/schedule comparisons above. We did not inspect a pile, confirm a property’s jurisdiction, contact a crew or obtain an individual collection commitment.
