Monroe’s open planning-project table is an application index, not one status report for each property. Two applications at the same address can have different work types and different statuses. A meeting agenda adds another identifier and date—not a decision. The examples below show how to avoid combining those records incorrectly.
Same address, different applications
LSL opened all 28 rows of the City’s project table on September 13, 2026; the page was marked Updated 09/11/2026. These two entries shared the same listed Bell Avenue address and August 3 project date:
| Project number | Listed work type | Displayed status |
|---|---|---|
| 2026-325 | Lot Consolidation | Under Review |
| 2026-612 | Mobile Home | On-Hold |
The address match connects the location, not the approvals. Neither row says that its status applies to the other application. The table does not explain the reason for the hold. We omit the applicant’s name and street number because they are unnecessary to demonstrate that distinction.
Search the live list by project number as well as location. Expand the number of displayed entries or check the other result pages before concluding that a row is missing. The reviewed list also contained “Permit Issued” entries; its title does not mean every row is still under review. Complete current list
Meeting date, memo date and filename can disagree
Compare the same date fields across actual Board of Adjustments and Planning Commission records:
| Official agenda | Memo date printed inside | Meeting date printed inside | What can mislead a reader |
|---|---|---|---|
| Board of Adjustments regular agenda | July 31, 2026 | August 10, 2026 | Its PDF filename contains 08.06, not the meeting date. |
| Board of Adjustments special agenda | August 9, 2026 | August 17, 2026 | This date-specific special notice differs from the Board’s ordinary second-Monday schedule. |
| Planning Commission agenda | August 21, 2026 | August 31, 2026 | The document calls this a regular meeting although the Commission’s general page says first Monday. |
LSL read the agenda page inside each PDF: August 10 Board, August 17 Board, and August 31 Commission. These are printed memo dates, not independently verified upload dates. The Board index and Commission index supply the ordinary schedule statements. Use the specific notice when following a listed meeting; this comparison does not determine its legal validity or explain why its date differs.
The Commission’s video listing identifies the August 31 meeting but displays September 2 beneath it. That listing date is another reason not to derive the meeting date from website placement. We did not watch the recording or establish an outcome from its presence. Commission video index
Match the requested action before matching a result
The August 17 Board agenda labels its Bell Avenue variance V.104-26. It describes a requested exception concerning a manufactured home’s age; it is not the lot-consolidation or mobile-home application number in the live table. The supporting summary on page two also discusses proposed lot consolidation. That shared location and subject make the records relevant to one another, but do not make them interchangeable. Special agenda, pages 1–2
An earlier LSL guide associated this variance with project 2026-329. That number was absent from all 28 rows reviewed September 13. We could not re-establish the old project-number match from the current list and do not present it as current verified status. Its disappearance does not establish approval, denial or withdrawal.
For a status question, give City planning staff the project number, work type and agenda item separately. Ask for the recorded disposition and any conditions for that application. An agenda’s request description, a video listing and a displayed permit status answer different questions; none should be borrowed as the outcome for another application at the address.
Before relying on a filing deadline
Both public-body pages still displayed deadline tables ending in 2025 when reviewed. The Board page warns that missing required materials can postpone an application. Neither old table supplies a verified 2026 cutoff. Confirm the current deadline and required materials with the City’s planning office before preparing for a particular meeting. Review scope and consolidation
This guide now incorporates LSL’s former Board agenda/decision guide. LSL compared the complete displayed project list and both public-body indexes, visually read the first agenda page of all three PDFs and page two of the special Board packet on September 13, 2026. We did not review every attachment, inspect private permit files, watch meeting videos, determine zoning rights or evaluate any applicant. Current outcomes require the official application and decision records; the worked comparisons above establish only what these public sources displayed.
